Crowning the Apple Queen

This is my attempt at an homage to Tina Barney-- the Central PA version. Outtakes from a story; the kids had known each other a long time and played in each other's backyards. I liked that certain ease.

The Old Folks

A little boy checks out the masks of the dancers scheduled to perform on Kids' Day, a day where children are honored in Mexico. The dance was called "Los Viejitos" or "The Old Folks."

Tavern Closing

Wow, where did April go? Did not mean to go a whole month without blogging. Here are two pics from a story about a local tavern losing its liquor license, so regulars came for a wake of sorts in its final hours. We used to go there, too--guess I will have to order my Vegas Showgirl elsewhere (energy drink + vodka?). It was tasty, whatever was in it, kind of looked like what you put in hummingbird feeders.
