Mennonite Bible Camp

Shots from a feature I found last week; I hope to go back and work on a story, we'll see what happens. I got a kick out of the fact that while I was shooting, kids kept coming up to me and taking a picture of me with their cameras.

These are great — especially the one with the foosball table. I've always been fascinated by Mennonites. I'd love to know more about their beliefs and lifestyles. Were they open to being photographed?

Thanks, Courtney! Yes, very much so (open to photographing), and a lot of people had cameras themselves.

This is fascinating Clare! I'm really curious to know more. What are some of the interesting things you have learned from/about them? Would love to see the written feature when it comes out!

Hi Beth! Hope California is treating you well; looking forward to seeing some more of your work. Yes--hope that I can continue to work on this project; it's actually something I'm doing outside of the paper for now so we'll see how it goes. Kind of hard to keep all the balls in the air!

I love these photos! I half-imagined seeing some of my Mennonite friends pop out of the pics...
